Carrie

Carrie is a beautiful brindle 6-year-old female who was found along with Rose as a stray in the Burleson area. She has the teeth of a 15-year-old that has had no dental care, and Dr. Ellis says these are the worst he has even seen in his 20+ years of animal care. She is taking antibiotics for the severe gum infection that must be contained before she can undergo surgery. It is likely she will loose over 75% of her teeth. Carrie is very fortunate to be in the same loving foster care as Rose with their foster mom, Kris.

Update: 5/12/03

Carrie had all but 11 teeth pulled, and just that in itself has made her feel much, much better. She is transitioning from soft food slowly, and is ready to find her forever home. Carrie loves to be with people. It is not known at this time if she is small animal or cat tolerant.
