Help Stray Greyhounds |
Your membership dollars will support rescue and adoption efforts as well as help fund our new kennels. Memberships carry no corporate responsibilities and are renewable annually.

Any wish list item can be dropped off at any of the Meet the Greyhounds, or mailed to P.O. Box 680, Addison, TX 75001-0680. Of course, cash donations are welcome and 100% goes to the care and support of GALT’s greyhounds.
Each time you shop at Kroger and have your Share Card scanned by the checker, a percentage of your purchase is refunded back to GALT. Contact GALT by phone (972-503-GALT) or e-mail, and we will send a Share Card for you to carry in your wallet
The next time you're at Tom Thumb, link your Reward Card to GALT's account number 9805 or pick up a Reward Card application at the courtesy booth to fill out and link your card to our account. Tom Thumb will pay us a percentage of our account total, so be sure to use your card every time you shop. By using your card, you will also be eligible for exclusive discounts, giveaways, enter-to-wins, direct mail rewards, and Airmiles.
Print out the card and take it with you to the store as your reminder of our organization's Good Neighbor Program account number – 9805 - to fill in on your Reward card application.

Any organization is only as strong and successful as those who support it with their donations - whether it is monetary or the gift of themselves through volunteering.
Any organization is only as strong and successful as those who support it with their donations - whether it be monetary or the gift of themselves through volunteering.
Being a volunteer with GALT can be one of the most rewarding experiences you will have - whether it is spending time with the greyhounds at the kennel and helping with their needs, participating with your greyhound at a special event, fostering a greyhound to prepare him/her for their forever home, fundraising, administrative, public relations, transporting/picking up greyhounds within 200-mile radius, just to name a few.
GALT supports, welcomes and encourages an active, organized volunteer base of greyhound lovers who share the passion and vision of finding loving, responsible forever homes for greyhounds to live out their natural lives. The minimum age for volunteering is 13 years. There's no maximum age!! Volunteers aged 13 -16 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or legal guardian who is also an active volunteer. All volunteers under 18 must have parental consent. If you want to be part of GALT's volunteer family, please fill out the application and agreement and submit as instructed.
GALT holds a Volunteer Orientation Program periodically and asks that all volunteers attend at least one session annually. The orientation is held at Houn' House, 4928 Dozier Road in Carrollton in the Dog Training Building.
Pictures are shown of the January orientation where over 45 volunteers participated. A narrative program was followed by hands-on time with the greyhounds at the kennel.
