52 Ways to Help GALT
- ADOPT A GREYHOUND (or two) and pass the word to your friends
- Foster a greyhound
- Sponsor the GALT web site for a month, or two for $50/per month
- Become a member of GALT and a volunteer
- Sponsor a greyhound for $25, $50, $100 or whatever you choose
- Spend "hands-on" time with the greyhounds at the kennel, petting & being with them
- Donate dog supplies such as collars, leashes, beds, rawhide bones (lots of these), sweaters, milk bones and toys
- Donate a greyhound crate, X-pen or baby gate
- Pay for all or portion of heartworm treatment for a greyhound
- Donate money (cash, loose change, check or credit card)
- Donate supplies, such as flea shampoo, antibiotic ointment, brushes, nail clippers, Vet Wrap, gauze, first aid tape, Imodium AD, Vitamin E, Children's chewable vitamins
- Use a Kroger "Share Card" or link your Tom Thumb Reward card to GALT's Community Partner account and a percentage of your total grocery purchases will benefit GALT
- Donate postage for the newsletter and other mailings

- Donate Heartguard, Advantage, Frontline or Revolution for greyhounds waiting for their forever homes
- Pay to have a greyhound neutered or spayed
- Donate raffle items for a GALT fund-raising event or eBay auction
- Have a garage sale and donate the proceeds to GALT
- Write
an article for newspaper about greyhounds currently looking for
a home - Help set up Meet the Greyhounds events on a regular basis
- Help organize a fund-raising event
- Help with assembling newsletter for mailing
- Donate your services as a seamstress to make dog beds for the kennel, belly bands for male greyhounds, or dog toys
- Drive a greyhound from the foster kennel to Meet the Greyhound regular events
- Donate film or disks for taking pictures of rescued greyhounds and a scrapbook or photo album to keep a record of rescues, adoptions and events
- Sponsor a special needs or senior greyhound
- Donate herbal remedies for greyhounds with health issues
- Donate a fax machine
- Offer to distribute flyers and brochures about greyhounds to area vets
- Make yourself available on an emergency basis to do "whatever" is needed

- Visit the foster kennel regularly to help socialize, bathe and exercise a rescued greyhound
