Etiquette for GALT events:

Use a 2 or 4 foot leash for your greyhound - *No retractable leashes, please*
Watch your greyhound around the other dogs for any growling or aggressive behavior
Please be *aware* and *responsible* of any "accidents or marking" by your greyhound

Meet & Greet (M&G) A Meet & Greet is your opportunity to meet available greyhounds and/or adopted greyhounds and their owners

Show & Tell (S&T) A Show & Tell is a short presentation with Q&A time for schools or service groups that, per the host’s request, may or may not include greyhounds onsite.

Fundraising ($$$) A fundraising event which includes online auctions and raffles. We operate 100% on donations and volunteered time. Please considering giving both regularly.

Just Greyt Fun (JGF) Just Greyt Fun events are organized primarily to socialize with fellow greyhound lovers, with or without our greyhounds and other dogs.

Meet & Greets
GALT will be hosting regular "Meet the Greyhounds" on either a Saturday or Sunday usually each weekend of the month at various venues throughout the DFW area. Locations include Petco, Canine Commissary, Orvis in Dallas & Arlington, the Dallas Boat Show, Oktoberfest, and other venues throughout the metroplex. GALT etiquette rules are mandatory for these events.

Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc. is always willing to sing the praises of owning retired racing greyhounds as companion pets. If your club, organization or group is interested in having a presentation, please email GALT. We will gladly endeavor to accommodate your schedule.

Join the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Far Pointe Cellar in Southlake for an afternoon of camaraderie as we sample a flight of wine as magnificent as a Greyhound in full stride. As you enjoy the lineup of specially selected offerings - many from the acclaimed Seavey Vineyard in Napa, California - be sure to bid on one of the many items in the silent auction. Highlights this year include a wine tasting for 16 people and a print by Kentucky Derby and Westminster Kennel Club artist Trish Biddle.

Proceeds from the event will be used to fund necessary veterinary procedures and costs associated with transitioning retired racing Greyhounds into permanent homes. As you taste with your palette, know that you're giving from your heart.

Seating is limited to 60 guests so register early!!

Pre-Event Ticket Price - $50.00 Online & from any GALT Member/Volunteer through July 12
At the Door Ticket Price (unless sold out) - $60.00

Tickets ordered online will be held at registration the day of the event.
