Dani's "Help Mend a Broken Heart" Candygrams

Dani is a 3-year-old black female with a cute white stripe on her face. Dani was born in May 2008, and her tattoos are being researched. She is one of GALT's "Thank Heaven Eleven", who were abandoned in a dog trailer in Witchita Falls in November 2011. They were taken in by the Wichita Falls shelter, and volunteers brought them to join the GALT family on November 30.

Dani is thin, and has tested positive for heartworms. She is undergoing treatment and being kept very quiet in a foster home.

UPDATE 12/6/2011

Dani received her first treatment for heartworms. Her foster home is now challenged with keeping her very quiet.

UPDATE 1/12/2012

Dani received her second round of injections for heartworms. So far she has tolerated the treatment very well, and she is being kept very, very quiet in her foster home in Austin. It will now be another 60-90 days before she will be retested to see if the infestation has cleared.

The special medical treatment cost needed by Dani is why the Miss Mesa Fund was established. If you would like to help with Dani's care, please take a moment to make a donation to the fund. You can use a credit card, check or PayPal by making the donation through the GALT GreytStore. You can also write a check (Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, P.O.
