The "Greyt" Wine Tasting and Auction

On Friday, November 17, 2006, approximately 150 guests attended GALT's "Greyt Wine Tasting and Auction 2006" at Premier Wines in Plano, Texas. Premier Wines was generous enough to offer its fabulous "European influenced" venue for GALT to host this Greyt Event.
The evening began with a champagne reception, as guests strolled from room to room bidding on silent auction items. At the end of the evening, many guests purchased their favorite wines by the case, and 5% of wine sales was donated to GALT.
All attendees received a set of greyhound wine charms as a thank you for their support. A raffle was held for a VIP Wine Tasting Class for 35 guests, donated by Premier Wines. In addition, a secondary raffle was held for 4 Maverick/Timberwolf tickets. GALT also held a silent auction as part of this event. Some of the 45 auction items included a Kitchen Aid Wine Cooler, Dallas Cowboy Tickets, Dallas Stars Tickets, Dallas Maverick Tickets, Tony Romo autographed football, handmade greyhound quilt, spa packages, Dallas Symphony tickets, and restaurant gift certificates, in addition to many other items.
The success of this Event far exceeded GALT's expectations. GALT filled Premier Wines, and there was standing room only. Thank you to all who donated and to all who attended. What a Greyt Event!
