Root Beer adopted us as we were having a Starbucks one evening and his foster walked by. That was 4 1/2 years ago and what a wonderful companion he has been. We now have three (two younger girls, one of which is a foster). Mr Root Beer has clearly taken over the Alpha Dog position in the house. He is the senior who looks over his two girls with an ever protective eye. Although early stages of arthritis have started to take effect in his hind legs, he dutifully marches up and down our three-story condo although not as fast as the other two. He has changed our lives and we value every moment of it. With his soft gentle personality he endears everyone who meets him and they usually exclaim "I would love to have a Root Beer."
