Born: February 23, 1996
Emma is our "first" greyhound. We adopted her in September 2005. She is a retired brood matron and blood donor. Emma moved into our home and made it hers, letting the cats and Jake, our German Shepherd, know she was now in charge. They let her think that for a while. Now the cats share her food bowl and Jake is her only competition for the best seat on the couch (we gave up).
She's sweet, gentle, playful, and only somewhat spoiled rotten. When she meets people, she insists that they pet her. She loves attention and who could resist her sweet face. Emma loves to roo and it doesn't take much to get her started! When we go for a family fun run, she doesn't care that much about running but searching for and finding dead things...now that's fun! Emma doesn't look or act her age, she has got such a zest for life and loves being pampered. Senior greyhound...don't tell her that...she thinks she's just a young thing!!
