Coconut, aka Kiowa Augustine, is a 3½-year-old fawn female born March 21, 2007. Her sire is WW Apple Jax, and her dam is Lazy K Caribbean. There are no races to Coconut's credit on Greyhound-data.com. She was found as a stray in Ellis County. Coconut, like most strays, was heartworm and Ehrlichia positive and had a multitude of intestinal parasites. She was successfully treated for all and has negative heartworm and fecal tests and a PCR test for all tick-borne diseases that is negative! She is ready to find her forever home!
You might wonder how she got the name of Coconut. She was named by one of the vet technicians at VCA Preston Park Animal Hospital when she ate a huge chunk of coconut cake! Besides, who wants to call a girl Augustine?
Coconut is living in a home with two other greyhounds and several cats. She has not been tested with small dogs at this time.
