Cissy is an almost 3-year-old lovely brindle female born August 2002. Cissy was found as a stray and turned into the Tri Cities Shelter. Her right ear is readable, but her left ear registration is illegible, so her history, as most strays, will never be known. Cissy is friendly and outgoing. She is small animal tolerant.
Cissy is a typical Greyhound with morning bursts of energy where she plays with her toys, tosses them all in the air and pounces on them. This lasts for oh .about 5-10 minutes! Then the temptation of food becomes too strong and it is officially breakfast time.
She is a great eater and will happily offer her assistance to those that happen to eat slower than her. Of course, she knows she is not allowed, but sometimes the temptation is just too strong!

She was potty trained when she came and has had no accidents in the house. She is always willing to go outside if another dog needs to go out. Got to appreciate the "sympathy pee"! While out there, she takes the opportunity to run with the other dogs. She loves to run! Every once in a while, Cissy plays a bit rough, she doesn't realize that the "nipping" of the others (even though it comes from her being happy and in a good mood), might not be appreciated. I always keep an eye on them while playing, just in case somebody gets overly excited.
Cissy is a true cuddle bug, and will stand by you to be petted for hours and will even lay her head across your lap if you are sitting. She is a wonderful sleeper and loves to snooze on a dog bed in any room you are in. Hey, as long as she can see you when she opens her eyes, things are good! She is a true Velcro girl, and will follow me from room to room always keeping an eye out for a soft place to lay down.

Cissy crates well and is crated periodically so that she won't forget that it is part of her life. Give her a treat, and the crate is a pretty good place to be! As my dogs are not crated during the day, I ensure she can see the other dogs while crated, I don't want her to feel left out or lonely. For the times she is not in the crate, I keep her behind a baby gate in the master bedroom with 2-3 other dogs and she has been an angel. When I come home she will stand at the baby gate with a big grin on her face. All teeth showing! She is a smiley girl. It's very cute.
This little girl has become a professional stair climber, and takes those stairs like no tomorrow! Cissy is an outgoing girl and will approach anyone that she sees outside on a walk or any visitors that come to the house. She is indeed a tail wagger and appears to be a very happy girl. She sleeps like a baby during the night on a dog bed beside me, she doesn't get into climbing onto furniture and has basically been the perfect houseguest during the time she has lived with me! I can warmly recommend this sweet girl to anybody looking for a Greyhound companion. She is a doll.
