Chi Chi, aka RK's Chi Chi, is a 4-year-old brindle female born September 25, 2008. Her sire is Fuzzys Cannon and her dam is RK's Proformance, making her grandsire the late, great Gable Dodge. Chi Chi has racked up an impressive 160 races in her day! She started her career in Dubuque, IA on May 31, 2010, also raced at Palm Beach, FL, and ended her career at Gulf Greyhound Park in Texas on March 21, 2013. Chi Chi suffered a fractured right rear central tarsal bone and torn plantar ligaments on Sunday, March 24th. She had surgery at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center on Wendesday, March 27th.
Chi Chi's surgery went well, and she was in a splint with weekly bandage changes until May 21st. Dr. Radasch is very hopeful that the surgery was successful; however there is always a possibility that the screws placed for the repair will have to be removed at a future date. Chi Chi has completed her remaining medical procedures and is now ready to find her forever home!
