Have a Heart for a Hound!
The month of February has many meanings but most commonly is considered a month for lovers. According to Wikipedia, "Saint Valentine's Day", commonly shortened to Valentine's Day, is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions." Most of us think of our significant others upon reading this. But what about the other precious companions with whom we share our hearts, homes and lives - our greyhounds?
We often hear about "heart hounds" - those greyhounds that leave an indelible mark on our hearts and our lives. Simply put -- once we are smitten,we are never the same.
This February we ask all of you to honor your heart hound or hounds by helping others to discover the pure, unconditional love that comes with greyhound ownership. Please take time to give a hound your heart and if you are able, a home.
We currently have 55 hounds in GALT's care. Won't you be some pup's Valentine?
