Texas Tornado Hockey On November 4, 2006, GALT was again invited to participate in the Tornado’s Community Night at the hockey game against the Alaska Avalanche. GALT available greyhounds, Asher, Midnight, Peggy Sue and Bernie, greeted everyone who arrived for the game. Helen Tuohy brought Rain to keep Bernie company because he was a little nervous. As usual there wasn't quite enough action for Asher and he would have preferred to be "on the move." In his usual fashion, Midnight only wanted to bury his head in someone's armpit and be petted the whole evening. Then there was Peggy Sue, who proved the adage, "Blondes have more fun." You could hardly see her because she was always lying on the floor with a circle of boys around her. The crowd did get to see Peggy Sue and Midnight bigger than life on the Jumbotron. Thanks to Helen Tuohy, Barb Bray and Linda Radtke for helping.
