James, aka IB James, is a 3-year-old male, born May 2, 2004. His dam is Seegold Briggs, and his sire is Dodgem By Design, who was a champion racer with some stakes wins. That's not surprising considering his sire was Gable Dodge, sired by Wigwam Wag and his dam sired by Dutch Bahama. James is truly racing royalty!
James started and finished his career at Valley Race Park in Harlingen, with a 7-month stint in Dubuque, IA in between. A stakes-winner himself, he retired at the top of his game, racing Grade A, AA and Stakes for the last 21 of his 65-race career. James is ready to take his rightful place on a comfy dog bed, surrounded by the loving subjects of his forever home. Come meet this handsome prince with the intelligent gaze.
The court of Prince James must not include cats. At first he stared, then looked away when the cats didn't move from their comfort under the chair. Finally, after some nudging, a kitty finally made a dash for the back door and James was all over it. No, not literally, and he was muzzled. There was just no distracting James from these live creatures from that point. Although James and cats are not a good mix, James and a Jack Russell Terrier did well when introduced for an extended period of time.
