ADOPTED
TO HER FOREVER HOME!
Bailey,
aka Bernice's Bailey, is a gorgeous white-and-brindle almost 7-year-old
female, born November 3, 1997. Her sire was Grey's Statesman and her dam
was Bernice Mae. Bailey raced in Dubuque starting August 7, 1999 and was
retired November 2, 2000 at her last race at Mile High in Denver. Bailey
has had two litters of pups, but her brood days are over, and she is ready
to find her forever home. Bailey is cat trainable and is currently in
a foster home with cats.

From
Bailey's Foster Mom:
Don't
let Bailey's age fool you. If it weren't for the tattoo in her ear that
says she's 6 years old, you might think she was 3 or 4 at most. She
has a lot of energy and is very playful, but like any greyhound, also
enjoys lounging around the house. Her favorite toys are the ones that
squeak and given a basket full of toys, she'll pull out the one that
makes noise. Bailey is a very friendly girl. She gets along well with
her foster sister, Serena the Cat. She loves to meet new people and
make new doggie friends. Of course, like any dog, she likes to go for
walks on her leash and does very well. She doesn't pull and with some
encouragement will walk right by your side.

Bailey
is an excellent companion because she likes to be wherever you are
in
the living room watching TV; if you're at the computer, she sits right
behind you; at night, she likes to sleep in the bedroom, either on her
bed or in her crate. Bailey does crate well, sometimes she will even
go in her crate on her own. It is seems to be a safe haven for her.
She is a very loving dog; when she wants attention and wants you to
pet her, she will stand in front of you and rub her head on your legs.
Everyone who meets Bailey comments on how pretty, sweet and friendly
she is. She will be a great addition to any family.
