ADOPTED TO HIS FOREVER HOME!
Audie, aka Audiovox, is a 2 ½-year-old white and red male, born June 11, 2004. Audie's sire is Castor Troy, and his dam is Fusion. His racing career started on February 4, 2006, at Valley Race Park in Harlingen, and finished July 1, 2006, at the Dairyland track in Wisconsin. Audie returned from Wisconsin suffering from DLE – Discoid Lupus Erythematosus – which is depigmentation mainly of the nasal area. He is being treated with a topical ointment and 3 D Derm Caps. A dramatic change has been seen since his arrival just by keeping him out of direct sunlight. This condition is very manageable and the prognosis is good. Lifelong treatment will include the 3D Derm Caps along with sunscreen applied to his nasal area when in direct sunlight. It is not known at this time if Audie is cat or small animal tolerant.
