HELP HOUSE A HOUND
Greyhound Support in Kansas City is hauling TEXAS Greyhounds!
GALT sincerely appreciates the assistance provided by Greyhound Support in Kansas City (GSKC) in helping transport greyhounds out of Texas to adoption groups across the country.
GSKC is a non-profit organization that moves retired, injured, and/or unwanted greyhounds out of racing farms, kennels, track closings, and other sources into adoption groups across the United States. GSKC helped GALT move 12 senior Texas greyhounds on the last haul, which left the early part of March, and now all are enjoying the retired life.
GSKC is gearing up for their third haul of 2008 leaving April 4, which again includes many Texas greyhounds. The expense of these hauls is daunting at best, and unfortunately due to the high costs the upcoming June haul has had to be cancelled. So the goal is to make sure the April and May hauls go - "on the road." With the closing of Valley Race Park on April 6, GALT will be taking in many more greyhounds that hopefully will be included on this May haul.
